Lots of people around the world think that eating healthy foods or going into healthy diet is the end of taste. Basically it’s not true and if you are in such problem, I think I have a solution. Below, I’ve listed some healthy food that won’t kill your cholesterol and these foods are quite tasty.
Parmesan Potato Pancake
These pancakes only contain 4 milligrams of cholesterol. As olive oil is much healthier way to fry or you can also try sauté foods because it’s rich in monounsaturated fat. Believe me people, this pancake is packs blow of flavor.
Ginger-Chocolate Ice Cream Sandwich
Instead of regular ice creams, try the fat-free ice creams. Don’t worry, these things don’t taste bad but if you want to create something new with it, then create your own flavor or even recipe such as ginger- chocolate sandwich.
To make the ginger-chocolate ice cream sandwich all you have to do is, combine 2 cups softened vanilla light ice cream, 1 ounce bittersweet chocolate, coarsely chopped, and 1 ounce chopped crystallized ginger in a bowl. Stir together with a rubber spatula or wooden spoon. Arrange 6 chocolate wafer cookiesor chocolate graham crackers on a baking sheet, and top each with about 1/4 cup of the ice cream mixture. Top the ice cream with another wafer, lightly pressing to form a sandwich. Cover ice cream sandwiches with plastic wrap, and place in the freezer. Freeze sandwiches at least 2 hours before serving.
The whole grains in this granola are tasty way to promote better heart. The oats which contains in this recipe includes soluble fiber, which reduces bad cholesterol. Making your granola at home allows you to reduce the sugar content then the granola found in the store.
To prepare your granola, you’ll need:
- 3 cups regular oats
- 1/3 cup oat bran
- 1 cup whole-grain toasted oat cereal
- 1/3 cup finely chopped walnuts
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/3 cup applesauce
- 1 cup chopped dried apple and
- Cooking spray
Before you start, preheat the oven to 250°. Combine the first 6 ingredients in a large bowl and stirring well. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add 1/3 cup applesauce, honey, and brown sugar to pan, and bring to a boil. Cook for 1 minute, stirring frequently. Pour applesauce mixture over oat mixture, stirring to coat. Spread mixture in an even layer on a jelly-roll pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 250° for 1 1/2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes. Allow to cool completely. Stir in chopped apple.
