Avoid taking long steamy showers
Long and hot showers tend to take away the moisture from your skin and hence will make it dry. So instead of taking a hot shower you can go for one with cool water.
Use Aloe Vera Gel
Applying the aloe vera gel onto your skin daily will help in reducing dryness. It is especially helpful if you have extra dry skin. The acids found in aloe vera eat away all the dead skin cells and hence helps in the healing process. You can use a store bought gel or apply some directly from the leaf.
Drink Orange juice
Rich in vitamin C, orange juice is known to help increase the production of collagen in the body which in turn helps in keeping the skin smooth. Consuming orange juice regularly is known to help you obtain a youthful skin.
Use loofah every day in order to keep the scaly skin and ingrown hairs under control. Scrub gently (not harshly) to remove the dead, scaly skin from the surface to get a very smooth skin.
Keep your hands away from your face
Our hands touch so many surfaces everyday and hence winds up with a lot of dirt and germs. When you use the same hands to wipe your face or rub your chin, you are unintentionally transferring the dirt and germs on to your face.
Use the right moisturiser
The moisturiser needs of our skin vary according to the season. In winters the skin needs a lot more moisturising than in summers. Choose a heavy moisturiser in winters and a lighter one in summers.
Remove excess oil
Remove excess oil periodically as the pores in the face tend to generate oil. Use a loose powder to dab out the oil. Avoid using pressed powder since it contains oil.
Choose the right cosmetics
Use minimal cosmetics especially if you have a sensitive skin. Choose the cosmetics that you apply very carefully.
