Soda can be very inviting with its sweet taste and fizz however it does nothing but harm our body. The calories that our body obtains by drinking soda comes completely from the high sugar content that is present in the soda and it has absolutely no nutrition whatsoever in terms of vitamins or minerals. There isn’t any carbohydrate in it as well.

Apart from stuffing our body with the unwanted calories, soda can also harm us by leading to tooth decay and may also cause diabetes. It may also be very bad for our bones. Although the exact reason behind this is unknown speculations are being made that the phosphorous found in soda can be the cause for such problems. It may also be due to the fact that soda is replacing milk in most people’s diets and hence the important nutrients that the body obtains from milk for healthy bones are no longer available.

Although diet sodas have generated a lot of interest among people it too is just as bad. Regular consumption of these soft drinks is known to induce tooth decay as well as thinning of the bones. Among women it has been related to depression and heart disease.

It is always better to refrain from drinking soda to improve the health of your body.
